Awesome BBQ! Had the pulled pork jumbo sandwich which came with a side of coleslaw. At first I thought that for the price it was too little food. But that was not the case at all. I barely could finish the last bite. Superb!

Everything about this place was ok. The food is good but is nothing special or beyond ordinary. The atmosphere is nice as well, but again, nothing special. As far as barbecue goes, I'd say its pretty mediocre. I wouldn't say I particularly liked or disliked it; it was good, but in my opinion, there was a bit too much cumin in their bbq rub. The price seemed a tad steep for mediocrity, but not too bad. I walked away full and happy, and the people are very friendly. I've been there before and I'm sure ill go again. The food and quality of everything has seemed very consistent so far. I'd recomend it if its lunch time, you're hungry and don't need anything special or fancy.

Darn good BBQ! The lunch special are a seriously good deal. Everything looks and smells delicious, so making your mind up can be difficult. On the suggestion of the server I got the ribs and was not disappointed. Amply seasoned with a dry rub, every part was worth eating. I prefer a dry style smoke, so this was right up my alley. The green beans and spinach were both very good. I preferred the spinach, especially because they were the closest to collard greens, which I was craving. The sauces were good and all worth trying to see what kind of sauce you're in the mood for. The pepper sauce seemed to be jalapenos and vinegar which was a different twist from the tabasco peppers I normally see. The staff were all friendly and made you feel at house. Several people who came in were locals, and they chatted up each one. Apparently this place recognises their steady customers and gets to know them. One of the quality of a small restaurant that I love. All together a good dining experience.

Best sauces anywhere! The Brisket is moist and perfectly slow-cooked but I have a hard time resisting the smoked chicken halves/quarters with some froggy-bottom and lots of the regular sauce. Their potato salad is made like a loaded baked potato and the beans are full of meat... I occasionally get the Tuesday blueplate special, which is Turkey and dressing with the usual sides - It's all good. If you like BBQ you'll love this stuff. If you love BBQ, than will do your hankering justice and then some by eating here. They're only open for lunch and once the slow cooked yumminess is gone, that's it!

A great downtown restaurant with BBQ and southern blue-plate special offerings. The sauces are great with original names and flavor. The meat is also very good. I will definitely be going back to sample more of all the many things they have to offer.

So, you want cafeteria style food from a guy in pj pants? Go here! The baked catfish was VERY oily, but the mac and cheese and the potatoes were delicious, as was the cornbread. Hubby's pulled pork and brisket were both tasty. Definitely had the OAP vibe from in here though, hubby and I were the youngest by a quarter century and then some! The innards could also do with an overhaul, a paint-job etc, but we'd probably go back if we were ever to go back to AR!

Was flying back to cali and my buddy and I stopped here nothing like a greasy spoon vibe to get your heart pumping and your blood rushing- or is it arteries a'cloggin'? Had the fried okra w/ my pulled pork bbq on a bun like 7 bucks or something- heck of a deal!! ain't no bbq out in cali like there is back home I say Again any place that has bbq has to have an array of sauces and yes they do!!! some mild some hot and some mustard base sauce I will go back again!!! FYI it was jan 4th on a monday after lunch rush and there were still people coming in and the folks who work there seemed to know all their customers- i even overheard that some people had called in sick and they were understaffed yet I never noticed any iack of SERVICE
